כמו שכתוב הספרים הקדושים שכל תיקוני הנפש שנעשה על ידי הלימוד לת''ח יהיה גם כן להמחזיק As it says in the seforim hakdoshim that all of the benefit for the soul that is accomplished by the learning of a Talmid Chochom is also attributed to the one who facilitated that learning

וידוע עוד שנמצא בספרים הקדושים שהאדם המחזיק ללומדי תורה אף על פי שהיה עם הארץ בעולם הזה זוכה שלעתיד ידע גם הוא את התורה. ובאמת דבר פשוט הוא כיון שיש לו חלק בעצם שכר תורתו. וידוע דהתענוגים הגדולים בגן עדן מתהוים מעצם רוחניות התורה And it is known that it says in the sefarim hakedoshim that one who supports those who learn Torah, even if he was unlearned in this world will merit in the future to know Torah. Really this is obvious, since he has a part in the learning that was done. And it is known that the spiritual rewards in Gan Eden come from the very ruchniyus of the Torah

ומצוה שעושים אותה הרבה בני אדם בשותפות כל אחד נוטל שכר כאילו עשאה כולה לבדו ומטעם זה נוהגים כל בית ישראל לעשות חברת ש''ס ומחלקים הש''ס בין כמה בני אדם שכל אחד לוקח מסכתא...ושורת הדין נותנת שיטול כל אחד שכר טוב כאילו למד כל הש''ס כולה A Mitzvah done by many people together, each one shares in the reward as if he did the whole project himself. For this reason, there is a minhag to have a chaburas shas wherby shas is divided among many people, each one learning their mesechta…and each one gets rewarded as if he himself learned the entire shas

מי שנותן בחייו ללומדי תורה וגומל חסד עמהם, אע’’פ שהוא עם הארץ כשמת לומדים אותו. ילקוט ראובני משום “סודי רזא” One who in his lifetime gives to those who study Torah and does chesed with them, even though he himself was not learned, when he dies they will teach him.

המחזיק לתלמיד חכם כדי שיעסוק בתורה הוה ליה כאילו הוא בעצמו עוסק משום דגדול המעשה יותר מן העושה -- הגה’’ק רבי חיים פאלאג’י תוכחת חיים פרשת ויגש One who supports a Talmid Chochom and facilitates his learning, is credited as if he himself learned, as is known that the one who encourages others to do is greater than the one who actually does himself.

ואמר עלי מים -- שחוזקים גם כן הוא עלי מים שהוא התורה לפי שמחזיקים ידי האנשים הלומדים בתורה הנמשלה למים ויהנו מהמים עצמם. כי המחזיק ידי לומדי תורה חולק עמהם שכר כידוע -- אור החחים הקדוש פרשת בלק One who supports others in order to learn Torah splits the reward with them, as is known

כי מדת התורה כך היא, שגם אותו שאין בכוחו ללמוד בעצמו ומחזיק ביד אחרים שיוכלו ללמוד תורה, גם כן שכרו אתו כמו הלומד בעצמו...רצה לומר הנדיבים והעשירים אשר כל עסק שלהם במשא ומתן, המה יקנו את התורה המחיר כספם --גר’’א קהלת פרק ז’ פסוק יב Even one who is unable to learn himself but supports others and enables them to learn; his reward will be with theirs…those who sole occupation is with their business can acquire Torah with their money

ומי שאי אפשר לו ללמוד מפני שאינו יודע כלל ללמוד או מפני טרדת הזמן יספיק לאחרים הלומדים ותחשב לו כאלו הוא לומד בעצמו-- טור ושו’’ע עם רמ’’א יו’’ד ריש סימן רמ’’ו One who is unable to learn, either because he doesn’t know how or because of obligations that take away from his time, should support others in their learning, and it will be considered as if he learned himself.
